2016 Season - Week 17 (Cont 1)

The Conference Story

Since week 6 the three promotion places have been set with Daz and AP fighting over first place and George safely in third as rookie Alex and David “Bargaineers” Stamp battled for the first pick in the draft. Going into the final week of the season Alex was 18 points behind David S. In the early games Carson Wentz through two TDs for Philadelphia and the Giants defeated Washington giving Alex 6 points from Head Coach Ben McAdoo. In the second games Tevin Coleman scored for Atlanta and with 11:35 to go in the Arizona game Larry Fitzgerald scored a TD and Alex finished the week with 24 points. Meantime Stampy struggled as much as Oakland where kicker Sebastian Janikowski failed to score even a PAT. With Miami losing and Ryan Tannehill out injured Stampy needed some scores from his outfield players but no one scored and so for a second time David enters the Hall of Shame and Alex finished the season on 316 points while Stampy is on 310. So Stampy has the first pick in next year’s draft with Alex second. BUMS Play-offs And so we begin our knock-out game and the road to BUMSBowl XXI starts this weekend. Again no rule changes so for Alex’s benefit and to refresh your memory here’s how our knock-out tournament works. It’s a head-to-head contest with the highest scorer in each game going through. You must select 1 QB, 1 kicker and any 4 outfield players to play within a budget of $7.5 million using the same player prices as the regular season. (See spreadsheet attached). You can change all players between each round and in each game no more than 2 players can appear in both teams. Please get your teams back to me as soon as possible and no later than by 10pm on Friday (UK time) so we can sort out any swaps needed. Whoever gets their team to me first gets first pick of players to swap, if necessary, so a speedy reply is key. If the scores are tied at the end of the games the tie-breaker is the Momentum Rule where the player that scored latest in any game is ruled to have “Momentum” and wins. The second tie-breaker is total yards rushing & receiving by your outfield players. As always top scoring owner plays lowest and so on, so here are the Wildcard match ups:- Craig v David S, Marcus v Alex, Chief v George, Aaron v Dave, Mark v Cheryl, Daz v Ron, AP v Wayne and Andy H v Johnnie. NFL Play-offs In the AFC the champs are New England (East 14-2) and Kansas City (West 12-4) with bye weeks & Pittsburgh (North 11-5) and Houston (South 9-7) playing in the wildcard games at home against Miami (10-6) and Oakland (12-4) respectively. In the NFC the champs are Dallas (East 13-3) and Atlanta (South 11-5) with bye weeks & Seattle (West 10-5-1) and Green Bay (North 10-6) and playing at home against Detroit (9-7) and NY Giants (11-5).
